THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN

This year’s People’s Choice winner is Death Valley Chipotle™. This smoky blend of chili pepper, cayenne, chipotle, habanero and jalapeño, with subtle spice accents, will hit store shelves in late Spring 2008. Thank you to the thousands of people who joined us in the quest for hot pepper perfection.

Spicy Thai™ Makes This Burger a Winner

We know our fans sometimes crunch Kettle™ brand Potato Chips a little differently…sprinkling them on salads, topping casseroles...but this month, McMinnville, Oregon recipe queen Karen Bernards turned her secret hamburger ingredient – Kettle™ brand Spicy Thai™ Potato Chips – into a $50,000 win in the 17th Annual Sutter Home Build a Better B urger® National Recipe Contest and Cook-Off in Napa Valley. Karen’s winning recipe – Sweet Hot Thai Burgers – blends the zest of citrus and the zing of chili with her special ingredient, Spicy Thai™ Potato Chips, to create an innovative burger with flavor the judges couldn’t resist. After winning the contest, Karen flew straight to New York City to appear on the Today Show! While we’re not trying to compete with the Big Apple, we’ve also invited Karen to visit Kettle Foods headquarters and get a behind the scenes look at how our Flavor Architect builds potato chip flavors that inspire.
